Info About Little
Rock Laser Skin Resurfacing.
Little Rock laser skin resurfacing is a safe and effective treatment
for removing damaged outer layers of skin. This laser peel
then stimulates collagen production and the growth of new skin layers
underneath.
Laser skin resurfacing is one
of the most popular cosmetic procedures
to help your skin look smoother, healthier, and younger. It can help
rejuvenate skin damaged by the effects of outdoor exposure, aging, and
some skin disorders.
That's what gives your skin
the fuller, smoother look of younger skin. In fact, the process is
sometimes called laser skin rejuvenation because of
it's anti-aging effect.
How Does Laser
Skin Resurfacing Work?
Basically, a laser is used to
vaporize or dissolve the damaged outer
layers of skin cells. There is usually no bleeding and very little
trauma to the surrounding skin. One layer of skin at a time is removed
until the desired smoothness is achieved.
What Different
Types of Lasers are Used?
CO2 Laser -
is the most powerful of Little Rock laser skin
resurfacing procedures. It would normally be used for deeper skin
tissue removal and is the most effective against deeper creases and
wrinkles. Recovery time will also be the longest at around 2 weeks.
Erbium Laser
- is a lower intensity laser used for more precise
removal of thinner layers of skin. It's main use is on moderate to
superficial skin damage. Only about one week of recovery time is
usually necessary. Erbium lasers are a better choice for darker skin
because there is less risk of change in skin pigmentation.
FraxelŽ Laser
- targets a small portion of the skin area to be
resurfaced. It does require you to make several visits, but each
session is shorter than other types of laser treatment. It's also much
less invasive and has a lot shorter recovery time.
The laser is focused on points
below the skins surface, so no skin is
removed with this procedure. The laser causes new collagen to be
produced which gives your skin a younger, healthier look. Fine lines
and wrinkles are filled in and as the new healthy skin underneath
becomes visible, your skin takes on a fresh, healthy glow.
This type of laser resurfacing
has proved to be very effective in age
spot removal. It may be a good choice for other types of blotchy skin
blemishes. You just need to discuss all the options with your cosmetic
surgeon.

national average cost for laser skin resurfacing is around $2,300. Keep
in mind this is just an average and it's only for the plastic surgeon's
fee. It doesn't include more than one session or any of the fees for
facilities or anesthesia.

average and is something you need to make sure you understand when
talking with your doctor.
