Central High School is now listed as a National Historic Site. The only operating high school in the country with this designation. There is also a Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site Visitor Center located at the intersection across from the school.

There is a museum and bookstore at the site for even more information. This is definitely a great chance to see living history.
