Little
Rock Tooth Whitening ... What Choices do You Have?
When
it comes to Little Rock tooth whitening, you have three basic
choices.
In office tooth whitening
- done in your cosmetic dentist's office. A lot of people like this
choice because it's safe, fast, and the most effective. The downside is
it's the most expensive.
Your dentist can use shade charts
to find the right shade of white for you. Your teeth can be whitened up
to 10 shades in about 45 minutes. This is usually done in 3 sessions
lasting about 15 minutes each.
We have a good friend who is a
dental hygienist who highly recommends this procedure. She says it's
much more effective than any other method. She also says if we would
cut back on our tea and coffee drinking, we wouldn't have to worry
about it as much.
I don't know about you, but I think the
tooth whitening may be the best choice for me. I don't think I can live
without my coffee in the morning!
At home tooth whitening
- If you really hate going to the dentist's office, this method might
be the best for you. As you may guess, the most effective home tooth
whitening kits are available by prescription from your cosmetic
dentist. These are the only kits that have the American Dental
Association Seal of Acceptance.
This type of Little Rock
tooth whitening kit has stronger whitening agents than the store bought
kind. They're also more expensive.
The teeth whitening
kits available over the counter in stores are less expensive. They may
contain trays with a gel similar to the prescription type. Other types
use whitening strips you place directly over your teeth.
These
are usually applied several times over a 5-14 day period. Not as
effective as office whitening, but if your teeth aren't badly stained,
and you want to save some money, it might be good enough.
Whitening toothpaste
- The American Dental Association(ADA) has a seal of acceptance program
that includes tooth whitening toothpastes that have special chemical
and polishing agents. These do provide extra stain cleaning
effectiveness, but unlike bleaches, they won't change the basic color
of your teeth.
You can find these by looking for the ADA Seal of
Acceptance on the packaging.

One of these methods of Little Rock tooth whitening should work for
most people. But sometimes teeth can be so discolored that none of the
types of tooth whitening help. If you feel this might be your problem,
dental veneers may be the best solution.
